Body Changes
Gouache on paper 8x12.” 2026
A piece that brings light to bodily changes that occur during puberty, such as body hair growth.
Pussywillow is used to represent a furry layer of peach fuzz that develops and turns into darker, coarser hair during puberty. The figure gazes longingly at the broken branch, debating what to feel- excitement about these new changes or shame in being different.
